NexGen Leaders Fellowship Programme – Geneva Immersion 2025

Applications are open for an intensive learning journey that blends online preparation with a week in Geneva, Switzerland. The application deadline is extended to 29 August 2025. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted on a rolling basis.

About the programme

The NexGen Leaders Fellowship is a two-phase experience designed to build practical leadership, policy awareness and global exposure.

Phase 1: Online preparation
10 to 28 September 2025. Structured online modules delivered via our virtual learning platform with tutor support and interactive activities.

Phase 2: Geneva immersion
20 to 26 October 2025. A week in Geneva featuring field visits to UN agencies and international organisations, leadership and governance workshops, and career sessions with experienced professionals.

  • 24 October 2025: a one-day summit with expert panels, intergenerational dialogue and networking.

Emerging and early-career leaders in public service, diplomacy, international development, business and civil society who want real-world exposure to multilateral work and a strong peer network.

Fees and confirmations

If you are offered a place, a non-refundable registration fee of USD 500 will be due. The programme cost payment deadline is 31 August 2025 for selected applicants. Please check the application form for full terms.

Emmanuel Addo
Founder

Emmanuel Addo is a Ghanaian-born leadership strategist, youth development advocate, and the visionary founder of the Young Global Leaders Network. A former student activist at the University of Ghana, he holds an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management from the UK, and is completing a Doctor of Business Administration at Manipal GlobalNxt University in Malaysia.

Currently a Manager at one of the UK’s leading universities, Emmanuel also holds certificates from the University of Oxford and the Malta Leadership Institute. Under his leadership, YGLN has grown to over 10,000 members across Africa, with registered branches in nine countries and presence in 15 others. He is also the founder and Chief Convener of the Young African Leaders Summit, and has supported over 370 young entrepreneurs and mentored more than 2,000 African youths.

Emmanuel’s work continues to impact policy, leadership, and entrepreneurship across Africa and beyond.
